Because our Chapter received a coveted Embrace A Stream grant of $10,000, we were able to host a tree planting with the city of Wheat Ridge on October 10. Around 40 trees were planted, and volunteers were treated to TU hats, a free lunch, and a surprise visit from Fraser the Trout.
The trees are improving the health of Clear Creek by establishing a riparian buffer along the river and around the lakes adjacent to the river and trail.
