WDTU co-sponsors biannual stream cleanups on Clear Creek. We partner with other TU Chapters, Jefferson County Open Space, and other groups interested in keeping Clear Creek clean.
Clear Creek, a tributary of Colorado’s South Platte River, has headwaters at the continental divide near Loveland Pass and flows largely along the I-70 corridor before diverting into Clear Creek Canyon and exiting the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at Golden, CO. Clear Creek is a multi-use recreational river, including fishing, whitewater rafting and kayaking, and even panning for gold.
Clear Creek is right in our membership’s backyard and enjoyed by many of us. Watch our emails and the “Upcoming Events” column for details about future cleanups.
