Let’s Go Camping – City of Lakewood
June 8 @ 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Volunteers Needed – Help A First Timer Catch A Fish!
Lakewood will be supplying spinning rods for the kids to take home, volunteers will be supplied with a sun canopy, a table, bait and water containers. Volunteers will get free entry into Bear Creel Lake Park. Tell the person at the gate that you are there assisting with the event.
We suggest bringing the usual stuff: sunscreen, fishing pliers, knife/line nippers, fishing gloves to handle pan fish, net, water, etc. You may want to consider bringing a camp chair to both events.
We will be managing the fishing portion of the weekend for first time campers. Please arrive at Bear Creek Lake Park between 7:30 and 8:00am to the Archery Range lot and make your way to Turtle Pond. This Turtle Pond location will be the same as years prior. The Turtle Pond event at Bear Creek Lake Park will have limited parking. John is encouraging carpooling if possible. He lives near the park by Kipling & Jewell & can take several volunteers from his home. Let him know if you have an interest. At the Park entrance, tell them that you are working at the event for free entry.
Contact John Semich if you are available and would like to get involved.
