October’s Chapter meeting is going virtual, with a Zoom presentation by Jim Cox of the Western Rivers Conservancy, entitled “Bringing Rivers to Your Home” on Wednesday, October 7. WRC has been working for more than 30 years to conserve and protect lands on more than 170 rivers and streams in nine western states. The presentation will focus on how WRC purchases river lands across the West to protect and conserve vital river ecosystems and to provide compatible public access. Included in the program is stunning photography and will include updates on many of our most recent projects including acquisitions on the Rio Grande, Yampa, Rio de Los Pines and Little Cimarron Rivers in Colorado; Idaho’s Salmon and Snake Rivers; and Oregon’s John Day, among others.
