The Yellowstone Volunteer Fly Fishing Program is Back

Due to the tireless efforts of Paul Bunker, the Volunteer Fly Fishing Program is returning to Yellowstone after a several year long hiatus.

Volunteers from across the country travel to Yellowstone during the months of July and August and fish for science. Yes, we have to fish all day either help researchers tag fish with RFID tags or to determine trout species in certain stream sections.

There is no lodging provided, and most people camp. Reserving a campsite takes a lot of advanced planning.

The schedule is full for this year, but for more information, or to get involved next year, contact Paul Bunker.
