River Watch Educational Session

April 26, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

It’s not too late to learn more or get involved with Colorado River Watch. RSVP now to reserve a seat at the River Watch Educational Session with Barb Horn.

Barb is a Colorado Parks and Wildlife biologist and the Director of River Watch. She has worked with national, state, tribes and local entities to protect and restore their waterways for more than 25 years in the role of Colorado Parks and Wildlife Water Quality Specialist.  In response to lack of data in Colorado she developed the River Watch program in the early 1990’s.  River Watch is Real people doing real science for a real purpose.
Their mission is to work with voluntary stewards (that’s us!) to monitor water quality and other indicators of watershed health and utilize this high quality data to educate citizens and inform decision makers about the condition of Colorado’s waters. This data is also used in the Clean Water Act decision-making process.
Since 1989, River Watch has involved over 70,000 individuals in Colorado and provided data on 3,000 stations covering over 300 rivers.
